INSTINCTS SENSORIELS DE L’ARAIGNÉE is a capstone project completed for school in 2021.
Around an old building, where everything is disorder and beauty, my work is fulled engaged in a research about texture feels.
Search is grounded in sensory exploration and draws inspiration from spiders. Studying their anatomy, web-building techniques, and varied physical appearances—robust or elegant—has significantly enhanced this collection.
Key piece photo shoot.
I wish I had more time to develop this project. Inspired by spiders, the focus was on textures designed to evoke a sense of repulsion. I aimed to create biomaterials that mimic substances like saliva or unusual fluids. My goal was to provoke curiosity by an unsettling allure through disturbing textures and eerie forms.
The primary objective was to maintain the same level of elegance as that of spiders and to avoid descending into a collection of horror. I regret not having had the opportunity to refine certain aspects, including some subtle nuances and sensual undertones.
